QSPC At A Glace

Special Projects

In addition to annual events, the QSPC undertakes Special Projects, with the goal of engaging residents on matters that are important to the community.

Whether you're interested in a specific event, volunteering as part of the QB cafe or joining our Executive, there are plenty of ways for you to give back to your community through the QSPC.  Not only are our events fun, but you'll make friendships to last a lifetime!

Our Events

The Queensborough Special Programs Committee hosts a variety of events throughout the year to serve the community.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Spring edition of the Shoreline Cleanup, appropriately titled "Blackberry Knockout".  A number of volunteers and their families were on hand to tackle invasive species off the shores near Thompson's Landing, with blackberries being the most pressing invasive species to tackle.  Teams worked for several hours to remove scores of blackberry bushes, with the goal of removing plants from the root.  This event was a terrific success and we look forward to renewing our efforts at the Fall Shoreline Cleanup on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
